Corozal Town: Corozal Town, the northernmost urban center in Belize, is a scenic and peaceful town which faces Corozal Bay. Located 85 miles northwest of Belize City and only 10 miles from the Mexican border, the town has a population of about 10,000. Charming resorts, comfortable homes and shady parks overlook its inviting waters. European and North American visitors easily interact with deeply rooted locals, mainly the descendants of Mestizos who fled the 19th century Caste Wars in Yucatan.
